ICBC Claims
In the event of an accident, it is important you record all relevant information. You can use the checklist that can be found in the PGI plastic pouch, given alongside your policy document. You are able to report a claim with ICBC, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After reporting a claim, ICBC will provide further instructions.
When planning to report a claim after an accident, ensure you have:
- License plate of each vehicle involved
- Driver’s licence number of each driver involved
- Insurance information for any vehicles not insured by ICBC
- [Optional] Name and address of preferred ICBC-accredited repair facility, if vehicle not drive-able
- [Optional] Police file number
You can report a claim online here on ICBC’s website if:
- Reporting vehicle damage or emergency roadside expenses, and…
- You’re the registered owner/lessee and principal driver of the vehicle, and…
- Your vehicle involved is a personal vehicle, not a commercial vehicle
Examples where you need to call ICBC include:
- You’re involved in an accident as a passenger, pedestrian or cyclist
- Your vehicle involved in the accident is a commercial vehicle
- You’re reporting property damage

All Other Non-Auto Claims
When a non-ICBC accident occurs and you need to make a claim, we will liaise with the insurance company for you to ensure a smooth claims process, where an adjuster will then connect with you for next steps.
If your property needs emergency attention and you have specific requirements (e.g. language requirement), we will also ensure a response team from one of our local partners is at your property right away. Our contractor partners are experts across a wide range of areas with language capabilities in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Punjabi and Hindi.
